2001 Aprilia Futura
Too addicted to the track to keep my sport touring bike, in perfect running condition but with some significant cosmetic defects.
Pros:
-Perfect mechanical condition, no leaks etc
-100% ready to ride
-Tires and brakes have plenty of life left
-Chain in good shape
-OEM Hard Luggage (very useful)
-Only 45k miles (Futuras can go for over 100k)
-Recent headlight bulb change
-Laminar lip windscreen
Cons:
-laid down on both sides (see below and pictures) I wrapped the worst parts but included pictures in the interest of full disclosure.
-mismatched levers (have the matching brake lever but prefer the longer one)
-paint peeling in places
Has had two minor lowsides, one on either side, levers were replaced, plastics were just scraped up and I recently wrapped it for aesthetics. This is a great bike, but I no longer need it for commuting. One lowside happened on a dirt road at around 5-10mph when I locked up the front, the other happened on my first track day at medium/low speed. This is a great bike for you if you want to go places and don't care if you have the cleanest bike at the rest stop, or if you do care about that you can probably raptor line it or something like that and it will look great. Handles really well for a ST and is super comfortable for taller riders like me (and I'm sure shorter riders too).
$1500 obo for nestreetriders members. Also open to trades for an ULW race bike or 250cc four stroke/125cc two stroke dirt bikes.
Can deliver.

Re: 2001 Aprilia Futura
If this had heated grips I would be on it! LOL Perfect winter bike for the slime days.

Pretty easy to install them using the auxiliary power output behind the dash ;)
I have a set of knox leather winter gloves I could throw in, they always kept my hands warm enough!

Re: 2001 Aprilia Futura
I have an 05 SV-n street bike I'd trade. Emulators/springs up front from pete, R6 master, ss lines, 1/5" turn throttle tube, 46t rear sprocket already. Miles are high (41k) as its my daily commuter.

Re: 2001 Aprilia Futura
I'll consider it, though I just picked up a cbr600rr to race next year so that will probably keep me busy for a bit!
