I had an EX-500 that never ran at the start of the season, no matter what I did. Fuel stabilizer, closed the petcock, ran it until it died, then drained the float bowls. It didn't matter. I probably should have left fuel in it and just started it once a week. Some people have good luck with carbs, but I never have.Quote:

I have a decent condition 2004 SV for sale:

Not sure I'd call it a project, as it should be in turn-key condition for a track day (just add coolant/water). The only things it use for more than an occasional novice track day would be suspension and track plastics. Already has frame sliders and Woodcraft rearsets. I've had it posted on NESR for a bit (not desperate enough to go the Craigslist route, lol) and was planning on using it this year (already ordered the oil for it) and it's cheaper than the cheapest one currently on Craigslist by a few hundred. Just needs some coolant added, as I drained the distilled water before putting it in the garage for the winter. PM me if interested.
