The one thing I've heard about the new dual cam motors is they are peakier than the older SOHC motors, but those discussions were discussing the 450s?

go to cliffs in norfolk and see if they have what you want there.

i doubt you could find a better shop to buy a ktm from!

Doesn't seem like a smoken deal to me for a bike that's 2 1/2 years old, even though still new:wink:

I don't know. The yamaha dealers are practically giving away 09 yz450's right now. You might get motorbikes plus to match that price on the 250.

I will call them tomorrow.
My research is sort of telling that the 2009 KTM suspension is much better then the 2008 and some changes were done to the motor.

I am also strongly considering a 2009 KX250F.

I am really trying to keep this as close to 5K as possible

Dont worry about suspension, oay the extra $600 and get suspension work setup for your weight, riding ability and riding style , its worth it.

Ive never been a fan off KTMs, this is based off of subjective, non quantifiable data of course :)

Get the kx250, buy it new and put the extra money into mods which play a major role in riding.

or just keep it stock and put the right springs in it...all the new bikes are good. Like mentioned, you can probably find yzf or crf pretty damn cheap, that price is good for a ktm but you could find cheaper for a new bike in general

I have never owned a brand new dirtbike before, I like my YZf but I would like to try something diffrent and get out of the YZF while its still got some value to it. I most likely will be able to get into whatever i get into for like 2800/ 2900 out of pocket when I sell the YZF,

nice, ya it is a horrible value, but buying nice new bike rules. My yz is only 2nd brand new bike I have ever had but nothing beats a brand new steed I guess:drink:

the Husky is my first brand new dirt bike. mmm, so shiny and purdy. felt good to put ALL my own hours and scratches on it. i would def go new again, barely bought a thing for it except guards + maint items.

tough call Squirrel, did you make it to Cycle Design to scope Kawis? too bad you weren't in the market when Higgins had a Monster 250F on sale. i didnt see one on the floor a few weeks ago.

Its between The 2010 KX250F and the 2010 RMZ 250 fuel injection.

I'm not even sure if there are any 2010 rmz's around? they were pretty scarce, either one will be rad!

I had some dealer issues and a belly ache at the thought of spending 7 Grand on a dirtbike.
