Anyone else think the new gp bikes are just UUUUGLLLYYY
I just cant get over these new bikes. Every year, more stupid wings, more terrible arrow crap. They don't even look like bikes anymore. The wings on the back of this years bikes look like something someone would have put on the back of their Honda's when I was in highschool. They look like a joke someone would have made years ago when talking about race bikes. Please let's go back to the beautiful gp MOTORCYCLES I once new!

I see the guys on the RSV4/Tuono page raving about what GP winglets look the best… only answer I have is none, they all look like shit.
I agree, the bikes are getting big, and ugly.

Statistics, analytics and endless computer modeling, destroying all sports.... just wait till they have AI controlling the lean angle

wait till jockeys are chosen by body aerodynamics rather than skill

If it gets to the point where rider input is the only variable! Oh wait! Boston Dynamics robot racing, that will be boring!

Re: Anyone else think the new gp bikes are just UUUUGLLLYYY
In my defense I am turning 40 next week hahaha. But ya I am still hating the new gp bikes. I hate the wings, the ride hieght devices. I also am hating that street bikes are now getting wings. Making all bikes uglier for no real reason. I would love to see less electronics maybe more like bsb but no more of this shit. Make the rider become a bigger piece of the puzzle again. Heck even give them back electronics as long as they start being beautiful again.

Re: Anyone else think the new gp bikes are just UUUUGLLLYYY
I’d love to see how the new/current racers could handle a bike similar to the old 2t’s without any aids.
Bring back some oil burners and smoking in the paddocks

Re: Anyone else think the new gp bikes are just UUUUGLLLYYY
I hate all the wings
I saw something about how it's in response to the spec tires they have to use. So instead of changing the tires, they keep adding more wings. The first iteration of wings was messing up cornering, so they had to add side down force.
Apparently, it's lead to riders hanging completely off the side of the bike too, in order to block lift on the inside of the bike in cornering.
Amazing how one change can lead to motorcycle body restyling, electronics and rider body position change.

They would handle them as well as anyone before them. Riders today are no less talented and far more athletic.
The bikes are ugly for sure though.

Guess F1 cars are hideous too then.
If you want pretty, go to a pageant.
I'll take speed any day.

I was okay until the front fender winglet and the triplane rear spoiler. I'll still watch and marvel, but I also think the F1 halo is fugly.

Re: Anyone else think the new gp bikes are just UUUUGLLLYYY
Yup they are definately getting uglier. But looking at the Sepang tests they are also getting faster. As a Busa owner I can appreciate that aero is often not nice to look at but you can't argue with the numbers.

You're too young to be hating! lol.
I think this year's additions have been pretty over the top. I will say that I have gotten used to some amount of wings. Kerry's new Trofeo even has some little side pods that I find tasteful.
