    Do you think this is much better than one of the $25 deals on amazon? I need one but they just look exactly the same and I don't swap chains too often.

    It's no different.

    If you can swing a few more bucks, the motion pro PBR is $95 and blows them all out of the water.

    Whatever chain tool you use, you will absolutely break the pins if you dont grind the rivets down first.

    Yes, I can totally swing a few more bucks. Just want to make sure it's worth it for my somewhat limited use. Should I just buy once and cry once?

    The $25 one will work, for sure. Be careful and don't force anything and you'll be fine. The more expensive one will have a better sideplate press etc.
