    New from Attleboro, MA!

    Hey all!

    Picked up this forum from Gixxer.com in the Northeast Section. Glad to be on here, you all look like alot of really nice people and alot are local! And by that i mean the MA/RI area. Just picked up my my new bike last week, i had a 98 GSXR 750 and it was pretty beat up, way too many problems to list. So i found a deal for my K4 600 that im currently riding. Love it so far! Heres a pic, dont be afraid to ask to ride! The weather is supposed to be nice for most of the week, and ive got alot of free time on my hands.

    haha well let me list off the problems that i had with my old gixxer. This was my first bike purchase, i was eager to get one, and needless to say it was a lesson learned.

    - Bike was a reconstucted title
    - Person whos name on the title was a wanted sex offender
    - Person who sold me the bike's name wasnt on the title
    - Shit was falling off
    - Had been laid down
    - Needed fork bearings, got quoted at $300 parts and labor
    - Needed chain and sprockets ($120 off ebay, my labor)
    - Needed front rotors ($224 per rotor)

    bought the bike for $2700 and put $300 of my own money and labor into it. Im almost 100% sure im going to get flamed for that, but like i said...lesson learned. And im happy now because this new bike is almost flawless, knock on wood.

    Where did you get the quote for the fork bearings at? I'd like to go there and get a quote on a new throttle tube tie rod end cap, mines busted

    A shop right next to my house, its called Best Auto and Cycle. Theyve got a nice shop, dyno and everything. I havent had any actual work done there but theyre nice people and seem to know what theyre doing. Theyre at 1895 County St. South Attleboro, MA 508-761-9779 and thanks!
