Just found out about NESR while browsing another forum and decided to join. I got into riding last spring when I bought a 79' KZ400 from my buddy. I put a set of clubman bars on it after I got the basics down and rode it about 5000 miles last season. My plans are to keep it and turn it into some sort of cafe racer as it seems to be the "cool" thing to do these days and I enjoy working on cars/bikes. Late winter I bought a 96' FZR 600 and I just got it on the road last week. So far I've done about 250 miles and I like it. I've ridden other 600's before (my buddy had a katana last year and another buddy of mine has an 08' Daytona 675) but it's nice to have a bike of my own with an acceptable amount of power. While the KZ is fun to ride around town, with a whopping 36 hp new from the factory, it isn't exactly fast.
Other than motorcycles, I also enjoy mountain biking and old BMW's (cars).
