hey everybody....I am new to nesr and thought I would say hello. I do not ride yet but I am thinking about it. I was hoping to get some feed back especailly from other female riders on if you like riding. I have been on a bike before and I did enjoy it but I am nervous to ride by myself. I am thinking about taking the class in the spring but I am still unsure.
This first post....the location and the profile....are sooo similar to the "other" new girl... weird?

I don't see what it matters if the feedback you get is from a male or a female. Either way, we all ride (or some of us ride, some of us just own bikes), so we're all going to tell you to try it out. Some people are riders, some are passengers. The only way to figure out which one you are is to try it.

yea ok, well let's get that straightened out right now. I joined up here because I met oreo elsewhere, he said I should come join and talk to the LRRS crowd since I thought modern racing might be cool, since I like vintage racing so much. My name isn't "Jrbiker-girl-hottie-mamma-sexy-miss" and if you go look at my intro thread, it looks nothing like the shit shows we've seen here.
I am being very serious. Like I said I have riden on the back of a bike before and I do really like it but riding and driving one are completely different. I want to know if there were other girls out there that were scared like me but now love it and can't seem to get off the bike. Also what kind of bikes do they ride?
I really missed Boston and the attitude that accompanies.
Chill out folks, you'll live longer.
New girl and foxychickriderperson - good luck scoring bikes. If you want to learn to ride, I highly suggest a small dirtbike and a few weekends in a field. It's fun and relatively safe compared to hopping on the freeway plus it'll teach you traction.
If you choose a street bike, key to survival is realizing that every bike has a rev limiter...it's the right hand attached to the throttle and you control it. Go to your local bookstore and score a book or two on riding if you're the reading type.
Good luck with your choices.
