If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
It is a big bike. He also owns a pretty sweet Warrior that I also like a lot. That's his real baby though. I would also like to get take that for a ride but I don't think he'll let me touch her. Put his heart and soul into her. I need to find a smaller sport bike since I am pretty small framed. I am open for suggestions.
Welcome!38 huh? you're in your prime for a lot of things hun. Take the MSF course. Lotsa good peeps here that will help you.
If all else fails, Lean more....

Define "smaller framed"? shorter than 5'3" and you might have problems touching both feet comfortably on an SV650.
Best bet is tog et to your local shop and sit on a bundle of bikes. This makes for great wintertime fun. RJs typically has a good selection of used bikes, and Freedom Cycle in Concord has good people and lots of bikes to try (Suzuki, Honda, KTM, Kawi, Yamaha).

My girlfriend is 5'4" but w/ some short legs... she couldn't even flat foot a GS500.
Just find a way to throw a leg over as many bikes as you can... go to different dealerships etc & see what YOU like. (not just what the salesman wants to sell you)
