    Newbie from CT

I found this site from the Tony's Track days site. I have been riding for a few years now and I am looking forward to a track day for Sept. I currently ride an 2007 FZ6.

I live in Simsbury. I need to take some pictures of the bike. I just have been too busy/lazy to get around to doing it.

    No problem Mr. Kurtz.

Acutally I am wondering if you can provide some advice. I am looking to get some boots and back armor for a track day. I would like some boots that I can also use on the street without looking like a wanna be racer. Also some armor that is good but reasonably priced since I am only looking at a few track days a year. Any suggestions?

Well, I have the Alpinestar SMX+ boots, and I wear them on the street and track. They may be a bit too racey looking for most people's taste, but the comfort and protection they offer is worth it to me. Feel free to come down and check them out any day, I carry the full range of sizes. I also carry the Alpinestar Web H20 boot, a bit more casual looking boot, waterproof and breathable, slightly less protection, and a few Frank Thomas styles.

For a back protector, the sky is the limit, from smaller Dainese units that fit into the pocket in your jacket, to the ICON Field Armor vest, and multiple suspender/waist band supported protectors from different manufacturers. Best bet is to ride down to the store, and try some on with your jacket and sitting on your bike to see what's comfortable.

I wear my Supertech R's on the street. Granted they're $$$, but I love em. Well worth the money.

Right now I am thinking of just one day. I was thinking of doing the class on Mon and the TD on Tuesday but not sure about that. May just do the TD.

    Re: Newbie from CT

if you can swing doing 2 days you won't regret it... ARC on day 1, TD on day 2 is a great way to go.

You really do get a lot more out of doing two days at once rather than two days separately.
