    Custom Build: AR15

For sale here is a pristine AR15 that I put together with a friend. The barrel, hammer, and bolt carrier group were IonBonded. The rifle has only been used twice, a few mags through her each time. Always cleaned after every shoot. I need the money for rifle more suitable for hunting this season. Asking $1200. Rifle is located in NH, and will do a FTF transaction only. The prices for all of the individual components below are what I paid. $1200 is a steal for the amount of parts and effort that went into this build:

    • Mega Machine Shop Lower $134.99
    • RRA LPK $70
    • Mega Machine Shop Upper $109
    • LaRue Tactical 12" HG $299
    • Dan Young National Match M16 BCG $240
    • Noveske Recon (16) $435
    • Smith Vortex FH $46
    • 6 Position Mil Spec Receiver Extension Kit H - Heavy Buffer $69.95
    • Enhanced Trigger Guard M16/AR15 $19.99
    • Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point $29.95
    • CH w/ PRI vig Latch $41.95
    • Magpul MS2 Sling $49.95
    • Magpul MBUS - Dark Earth $95.94
    • Magpul CTR (DE) $92
    • Magpul MIAD (DE) $34
    • Magpul XTM - Black (x3) $22.65
    • Magpul XTM - DE (x3) $22.65

    Total: $1,813.02

    Picture below:

I have since swapped most everything with all black or UDE furniture (grip, stock, and rail covers). Can return to the configuration in the picture with EASE. Rifle does not include the EOTech.

God I miss VT. I love guns and this is a very nice AR15. My step-father has one and they are real fun to shoot. Wish I had the ability to own this now in MA but I am not sure what the regulations are. GLWS Someone will end up happy!

do you need an FFL license to own a rifle in MA? Do you need to take the course like you do for handguns?

    jcrawford,

The fee for an FID card is $100.00 and it is valid for 6 years. New applicants must complete a Mass. approved firearms safety course or a BASIC HUNTER EDUCATION COURSE.

that is a high capacity rifle, a FID will not suffice in MA. I'm pretty sure you need a class A

    Re: Custom Build: AR15

how hard is it to get a license that would allow for handguns (concealed, etc) and to have toys like the above? I ask because I would be interested in finding out what I need to do.

I have a clear background so I should not be hindered from getting the license other than the fact I live in Lynn and from what I hear the L cities are hardest (Lowell, Lynn, Lawrence, etc.) Guessing due to crime rates, no idea why else

I probably will not remain in Lynn forever and may relocate for the ease of all of this I don't like Lynn anyway

i haven't heard of any problems with obtaining an unrestricted LTC-A in lynn if you have a clean background and meet the requirements.

lawrence and lowell, on the other hand...

Not sure if you are serious about the offer. I would go $1350 with the EOTech. It is brand new and I can get a few hundred for it by itself. That would bring the rifle below $1k, which is too big of a hit for me.

I know how to handle a handgun and rifle, I was raised and trained to handle them properly. Will I need a brush up? Sure it's been many years since I took that course.

I am a pretty dangerous shot so watch out I might just have to get a handgun and get into competition shooting like I've always wanted too.

love shooting any gun even something like a .22 can be fun, but I love shooting clay's with a nice 12GA pump.

I could be on the bike, locked n loaded gangsta! What f00l would mess wit me den. I axed around and all afaid of gun totin gangsatas f0 re4lz!

hehe sorry I just had to do it

I used to work and hang out occassionally with the moron who decided to go full auto on a poorly sited range and killed someone sitting down to dinner, so I have mixed feelings on firearms. Not anti-firearm, just anti-stupid.

Note: I am not calling you stupid.
