I have for sale an automatic, black 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport with gray cloth interior. I bought it with ~52,000 on the odometer, and now there's ~131,400 miles on the odometer. I am the second owner of the vehicle. I drove a lot both for vacations (mostly to upstate NY/NYC) and my side job (as a gigging musician). It still gets driven every now and then.
The reason I'm selling is because I bought a new daily driver, and I have no need for two vehicles. It's been a great vehicle for me the last 4 years. Everything on the car works, though you're welcome to come try out the stock radio and HVAC controls.
Only thing "upgrades" are the WRX twin tip muffler, Subaru Compass/Barometer, armrest extension, and I painted the radio trim flat black. The grille you see picture below is off the car now with the stock grille in its place (and the Subaru emblem fell off and is gone).
It has the normal dings and scrapes of a 7 year old car, though the bumper is a DIY Bondo repair job (see pics) on a dent when someone backed into me. I didn't really care, so I pocketed the money from insurance, popped the dent, and used a Bondo repair kit on it. If I were to keep it, I would sand, primer, and paint. And in the interest of full disclosure, the car started leaking oil recently (or at least I noticed recently ). I think it's from the drain bolt itself, since I don't think the place I took it to get the oil changed ever actually changed the crush ring.
In the next few weeks, I will probably get the oil changed (it's due soon) and find out the source of the leak and update.
I'm asking $4,500. NADA lists the average trade in at $4,475 and average retail at $7,350. KBB lists private party sale at $5,045; and Edmunds.com lists private sale at $6,751.
The VIN is JF1GG685X2H831190, but to save you some time and money, here is the CarFax. I purchased the CarFax (for the OBS) while doing research on the car I was going to buy.
Thanks for looking,
