car/engine is at about 104k miles. Timing belt done two months ago

transmission has about 12k miles on it
turbo has about 14k miles on it and is a Deadbolt turbo so free lifetime rebuilds.

I'm looking for $14,000obo but will entertain offers over my loan payoff to get it sold.

Obviously I've seen the car, ridden in the car etc & it's pretty pimp. Jared (Chapel) knows more about cars than just about anyone I've ever met. When it comes to 4 wheels he knows what he's doing. He takes care of his toys & does shit right. If i was in the market & had 14g's I wouldn't be posting this for him.

Any questions fire away & I'm sure he'll answer em himself.

Exclamation FS - 2002 WRX Wagon - battlewagon

yeah, this car is my BABY. however my wife's health and wellbeing as well as the future of our family is significantly more important than a car.

I've been using the car for my daily driver since December and it's just as happy doing that as it would be tearing around a track.
Get a small trailer and a hitch and tow your bikes in style.

This thing is extremely fast and more durable and reliable then any NEW Subaru out there.

Looking for a quick sale. There is some room for negotiation on the price

That does look like a great car and tempting, but private sale book on it is just over 10, and any dealer will tell you add on aren't worth a dollar.

Jay, any other time I'd be the first to agree w/ you, but 14g's is a very fair price for this car. If someone's in the market a WRX just like this one, I think they'd gladly pay that much.

Damn, I'd love this for my replacement tow vehicle. Exactly what I'd be looking for. But alas, I'm just another broke racer.

Not a good argument... and not one I wish defending anymore.
a $10k WRX is gonna have a broken tranny or require a timing belt or the major maintenance... so you'll end up spending $4000 on that new tranny and $1000 on the major service pretty soon. and then you'd still have a 227hp WRX with a new shitty transmission.

I used a maxxed out loan + cash to get this car because it was worth it.

So, if someone wants a bone stock 227hp WRX for $10k, so be it.
If someone wants a dead reliable, STI eating WRX Wagon for $14k that needs no mods, maintenance or upgrades, mine's the car to have. Pretty much the only mod my car DOESN'T have at this point is a 2.5L bottom end.

    I'm STUPID
I thought the odometer was approximately 104,xxx, but after looking at my cluster spreadsheet, I'm about 10k miles off.
I have an STi cluster in there and that shows 32,050miles. It was installed with 26,179 miles showing on the odometer and the original WRX odometer was removed showing 89,194 miles
    So 32,050 - 26179 = 5871 + 89194 = 95,065 miles
I was going to have the STi cluster sent to Tacoma Speedometer - Home to have it set to the exact miles and not have to deal with this silly spreadsheet I use.

I also have the original state inspection done in December of 2006 showing 89006 miles about a month before I installed the STI cluster

Due to a 20-30% drive train loss from AWD

yeah, and it's 270whp (269.9 if you wanna be a dick about it )

A stock 2004 300bhp STis make 220 on this dyno (which is notoriously low reading, but VERY accurate and great for tuning)
so, that dyno associates a 27% driveline loss (!!!) to STIs
    220/.7333333 = 300bhp
    so using that vague math:
    270/.7333333 = 368bhp

Realistically speaking, the car makes somewhere between 350hp (50hp more at the wheels then a stock STi) and 370bhp (using the above math)
Average the two out and 360 is 'about right' but I normally advertise the car as ~360bhp

Oh, and on a SAD note, a STOCK 2002 WRX makes about 150hp at the wheels on that dyno... yikes.

Unfortunately, they took that sheet off the list
    KTR - Dyno Graphs

The lowest STI they have is 224 at the wheels and it had an exhaust system on it.
