well yes, but I meant I was faster on my hawk than I was on your RC (I was a f-ing wuss on that thing ...although it was fun)

...and yes, perhaps I'll start a new thread with pics etc (I just figured this was everyone's way of making sure I kept the damn thing )

No, I'd actually like to be a father to my children and you know, bring them up and stuff (having one in about 3 weeks).

I couldn't handle the thought that there were (potentially) all these kids of mine out there in the world and I don't know them.

$75/week doesn't cover that kind of shit.

There's alot more to it though.

The donor program is made available to help people that aren't fertile to realize their dreams of just having a child that is their own. There are people out there that don't care where a child comes from as long as it's a child they can call their own. Some of those people don't necessarily want to adopt, instead they want the "full boat" of raising a child.
There are also others that want a child but no spouse....I mean the scenarios are almost endless.
When the paperwork is done, your responsibility to that sperm ends at the door (or cup, I guess you could say).
If that doesn't totally jive, then there's an "open-donor" program to which you can be directly involved with the children that are made from your dontated tissue.

There is a shit-ton of information on this within the links I posted. Nearly all of it is explained or mentioned somewhere.

You have to walk in knowing that you're going to be helping someone that doesn't posess the same gift of reproduction as you do. There are emotions that are so far above and beyond a donor's "responsibility" to their donated tissue...I mean if you could talk to or read about some of these people I think you'd see a much different perspective. And besides, it's not like they make 10 million kids out of your donations.

Beyond looking at the webpage and thinking it's silly that they disallow the segment of the population who would most benefit from donor participation, and is most likely to be interested in participating, I don't really care.

Like I said $75/wk does not cover.

If you're into it, whack away.

How is it silly that they don't want heroin addicts donating?

How is a drunk going to actually benefit from being a donor?

Where's the benefit for these folks? Besides getting loot to potentially support their addicitions, how exactly are the clients and/ or the donors in our examples benefitting?

If you're into it, whack away.
Not me man. I just know people who process and find both the scientific and the emotional sides of this to be very intriguing.
