thanks, I bought it for canyon riding during an internship in LA and now I'm back in boston and don't have the money for a track day, also trying to sell my bike, so i figured I'd let it go to a good home
What's your height/weight/build and how does it fit?
Friends don't let friends wave to Can Ams
I'm about 6 ft tall, 185 lbs, I'm not a twig but I'm not muscular either (shoulder width) It's a little tight on me but I didn't wear it enough to break it in. It was brand new when I bought it. I'd recommend trying on someone else's suit or finding a store that sells teknic suits. thats what I did for my boots
I checked the Teknic size chart and it seems on dimension fits but not the other. If I use my height then it says the waist is too small and vice versa.
Sounds like you go with something close and give one place or the other??
I'm 5'8" 180 lbs with a 36 waist (some pants I can squeeze into a 34.)
At 6' how does the suit fit for length on you?
Thanks
i'm the same build as u & i've tried the newer version of this suit (xcelerator) in size 42 & it was tight in certain places but the length was perfect. 44 would be perfect fit especially with back protector & all but the length would be off (not by much but enough to make u want to alter). but again it depends on your build also plus not sure if they revamped the vrii to the xcelerator
The length is fine on me, maybe a little tight in the shoulders, so it would be perfect for you. The waist might be a little tight on you though, I wear 34 pants and the waist on the suit is just right
Thanks guys. I guess I need to lose a little of the waist. All the clothing I've bought in the past it is always best if you can try one on first. Like was said even the suits from the same Mfg will vary and of course from one Mfg to the other. Even after trying something on it seems you have to give up on something, ie waist, shoulder, length. This one certainly sounds like it would be close. Thanks again.
Nice suit, I got the same one, size 46 tho. Def. worth 400 bucks. Try before you buy. Just for fiting refference.... I'm 6ft and 180 lbs, and it fits me pretty tight with back protector. Also pretty tight on arms and legs and shoulders, and I'm not one of those all jacked up guys either. Looks like they built this suit for a skinny guy![]()

Surely try before you buy.
I got a new Chicane suit this summer and am sure glad I went to Street and Comp and tried them on. I would have been pissed when I got the 48 out of the box from some far off place and could not get it up past my waist.
I ended up with a 52before I felt comfy.
Oh and I bought it from them too. As good a price as anywhere and they helped me out with fitting.
still for sale
ttt I know someone needs a new suit
still got it, pm me
suit is still for sale, pm me if you want to come try it on

Where in Boston are you located? My roomate is looking for a suit...
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
Great suit and price ,
Here's my experiance, I just tried on several suits at street and comp, (Thanks Miles )the chicane is the entry level suit and is a more forgiving for the few of us that put on a few pounds over winter , the other suits are definatly a slimmer cut , slimmer waist , thighs and chest , another hint , I wear a size 42 reg in a dress suit , a 46 Tecknic chicane, 48 chicane w/backprotector , and I can almost squeeze into a size 50 tecknic violat with no spine protector, but its skin tight because its a slim or petite or "race cut" for the racers , a lot of these racers who buy the "race cut"suits are slim built,
Thanks to Miles and Chris @ street & Comp, I am now on a diet , so I don't have to get a custom suit made for my fat ass. 5'11.5". 210lbs. 36"waist ,44 b cup
They have VERY fair prices also

Legend in my own mind
Bump, nice suit, Cooner (501) has one and he loves it
Not looking at this exact moment but certainly interested. I have a chicane now that would be great to upgrade from.
