So.....anybody want to make the long-ass trip up here to VT?
I figure we could do one of two things - a dual sport ride with some trails, some dirt roads, and some awesome paved road. I think I could make a pretty good route combining all of the above, which could be done with street/tard rubber.
Alternatively, we could do just dirt. There are miles of dirt trails accross the street from my house, many of which are quad friendly (some of which are dirt bike single track for fuckin experts only). I was told by one sage old red-neck that he has to bring gas with him to keep his four wheeler fueled, because there are so many miles of trails.
I'll provide beer and lots of steak and stuff.![]()
what do we need for dirtbike registration. i'd be down with a convoy.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
For a dirt ride, you dont really need anything; I've ridden up through there for years, and never had a problem.Originally posted by hessogood

If you're worried, any state off-road reg will do.

I thought Vt was only reciprical with NH for ATV's, but according to VASA's website, NY is also a reciprical state; all other must shell out the cash to Montpelier...bastages! If you'll be riding class III roads, a street reg from any state will cover ya.
Q. Does my ATV have to be registered in Vermont?
A. Yes. The only states which offers VT reciprocity are New York and New Hampshire. If you are registered in NY or NH your registration is honored in VT, all others must register in VT with the Vemont Department of Motor Vehicles.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
I have a wedding that weekend so I'm out. I'm a loser![]()
Bras cause cancer.
I have an alternative to all that. But I'm not sharing it on here.Originally posted by wylee

Though I wanted to make the Motard part of this shindig it won't be happening. THe Husky is having some open heart surgery done and I don't think the TL would be much fun on the dirt roads. Have a great weekend and I'll catch up with you guys for this ride another time.
Joel
what happened to the husky? sounds major?
sure am glad i got a yammy!![]()

I dont know if I'm going to have my bike set up for dirt by this weekend, as I have to order rotors for the dirt wheels. (Or give up on the f'n thing and buy a real dirt bike...) I *think* I can borrow a friend's KDX 220, since it is in my garage right now being fixed after I wrecked it last week.
Seems like everyone who can make it has a street tard setup....but whatever you all are up for is good with me.
Edit: Oh yeah, who's coming, I will PM or e-mail you directions. I'm in Hinesburg, Vermont.
I would like to go and I will ahve the CRF and have both sets of wheels so I can dirt or street. I don't want to pay for gas all by my lonesome.
Brent do you have a trailer? We can 3 up in your truck!!
KB
sorry bro, no trailer. just my little truck.
...and... Neither Lis nor i are street legal right now, we are only equipped for dirt at the moment.

KB

Ok - who's coming, what time, and are we riding on dirt, or on the street?
Just need to know so I can set up bikes and do a little route/beer planning.![]()
i am coming up, with as many as 2 passengers. with as many as 3 bikes total.
2 bikes will be for dirt only, for riding on saturday.
the third bike could potentially be for both dirt and street riding with a wheel change.
I need to head out sunday morning with the dirtbikes and one of my passengers. I think the other wants to go street riding, so we are gonna have to figure out how he is getting home.
