Dual Sport - July 6th?

    Dual Sport - July 6th?

Anyone up for a ride on Sunday, July 6th?

I figure people will be partying on Friday and maybe Saturday... so figured we could start around 11AM.

I was considering maybe an "intermediate +" ride this time? I've got about a 3 hour "loop" if we maintain a decent pace.

KLR650's would be the biggest bike I would take on this ride. Personally, I'll probably grab Renee's KLX250 so I can go a little faster on the tougher trails. A KLR can/has gone through these same trails... just at a slower pace... so don't sweat it if that's what you have.

    So... any takers?

PS... this would be starting and ending in Springfield, MA

    Excellent...

How's the 450x on the road sections?

I'm trying to add a couple of new dirt loops into the ride, but they will require a 20 minute road section to get to them...

Unless we do some exploring and get lucky and are able to link the sections together somehow.

Tony, I might be able to join you if there is room for me. I certainly do not want to compromise the ride. My older brother is coming up with his DRZ-S this weekend and we were looking to get in some riding. I do not know if he will still be here for Sunday, but if not, I may show up myself.
If there is room for me, could you shoot me the meeting time and place at gplassmann@yahoo.com?
It sure would be nice to see you again!
    Thanks!
    Greg

Sooo by that you mean I can't go if I have a RMV reggied bike with white plate??????

I guess I'll have to take OFF the blinkers and disconnect the brake light ... I'll tell you though I'm leaving the horn hooked up!

Yeah Tony I know this is a D/S ride I was trying to get to the registry before they closed!

At this point, the ride is up in the air.

We've had a couple of rainy days, so it could be quite messy out there... and at this point there are only 2 confirmed too, so I might just end up going out with Renee for a spin instead?

Naturally, anyone is welcome to join us if we do that... but keep in mind it will be at a slower pace.

Re: Dual Sport - July 6th?

Well... it rained pretty much all afternoon, so I'm going to hold off on doing the "experienced" ride.

Renee and I will probably go out and do some more scouting though. I passed a couple of dirt roads the other day and didn't have time to see where they went.

So anyone is welcome to join us tomorrow, although we don't have a firm start time... but probably around the 11 to 12 timeframe if the weather is good.

As for the experienced ride, I'm thinking we'll try pushing it off to next weekend and see how things turn out?
