I think that will work for me, too.

The only thing about meeting early on the 18th is if people have to drive there from a good distance that same morning. What about have a second meet-up at 11 or 12? Pittsfield first day and Beartown the next.

Works for me, and the lighting is FIXED!!!! All told, it took me and Alex about 6 hours, and then me alone another 10 hours.

On the plus side, I'm pretty sure my fear of working on electrical gremlins is gone.

My vote is for the Pittsfield forest as well.

I believe there is a full fireroad loop for dual sporters... and ample single track for full on dirtbikes.

You don't need a yellow plate, if you are street legal. So just to double check 10 am at Beartown ORV parking lot on Sunday August 19th.

Yes, any street OR Mass. ATV plate is required. I've got one for my YZ, if I can find it.

Not to muddy the waters, and maybe I'll start a new thread, but anyone looking for a BEGINNER LEVEL dirt ride this Thursday (July 26), let me know.

I'm taking the KLR to Pittsfield State Forest... Renee will be on her dirt bike.

tony i would be down with this... depending on what time your planning on. i have to work wednesday night all night so i would not be able to go untill probably 10am or so depending on how long i am working it is maybe too late for you if so its cool. and i may not be a beginnner but i sure as hell am out of shape and could use some warmup riding.

I'll post details in the trackday area, but suffice it to say that I won't be riding dirt tomorrow.

Not sure exactly what or how, but my guess is that I tore a muscle from one of my ribs.

Got some muscle relaxers and Oxy in me at the moment... hoping to fully heal before Monday when I have to ride the Keith Code school at NHIS... which was carried over from last year because I injured my back!

GRRRRR!!!!!!

does anyone have an extra dirty bike for a friend of mine to ride? He's a pretty good rider ;-) but does not have a dirty bike. i could pick this up with my trailer on the way out from Boston, if need be.

Hopefully it's a painful spasm, not a tear. try a muscle relaxer to see if it will back off...

I know I had a lot of intercostal pain from my back injury, so it may be actually referred pain from a disc issue.

I'm not positive what happened. Felt like someone shot or stabbed me in the back/side area... mid corner, mind you.

I instantly tensed up, but then realized that my only shot at making it back to the pits was to relax.

Anyway, I think it is just a pulled muscle... likely caused by me not stretching before I rode that day (after having played Golf on Friday and riding on Monday).

Oh well, I think I'll be OK for Code's school. I'm going to ride no matter what, but hopefully I can move around on the bike without pain.

Pittsfield Forest - Saturday, August 18th

(camping out somewhere Sat night???)

Beartown - Sunday, August 19th

I'm definitely in for the first day and probably the camping (never camped out before... except in a Motorhome

I would actually really like to ride the WR450 at Pittsfield, and then do easy stuff on the KLR650 for Sunday.
