Meeting at Carls for breakfast at 8am, and plan to be at the Hodges parking lot, kickstands up and ready to ride at 9:30 at the latest![]()
Yamaha
I'll be riding Hodges tomorrow, but not until 10:45 or so. There are always a few of us from Mass TrailRrider out there. I'll be the old bald guy on a YZ125.
Seriously Mark, there will be plenty of people to laugh at me.....![]()
I'll bring the camera![]()

Can anyone grab me in E Brookfield? I need to fill up my gas can but I would love to get out. Don't have my trailer at the moment so I would need a ride. Breakfast/gas money/beer would obviously be included (whatever is your choice).
I could bring my gopro can get some decent helmet cam video.
PM me
Look for 2 blue bikes, 2 orange things, and 1 green bike![]()

home...packed up...but beat. fun ride guys, thanks for coming out
it was nice to meet some new faces, and great job to the newer dirt riders. Props to KB1 for taming the 2-stroke mx bike in the woods and to mysterious R1 for going dirt from the motard and really getting on the gas through those tight berms
hopefully (if schedule allows) we can meet up for more dirt rides!
That was a lotta fun for sure. Damn do I drop that thing a lot! Bike feels better and better the more seat time I get. Damn Sean and his easy access camera....![]()
speaking of pictures .
Wife and I picked matt up in the morning to head to carls diner to meet todd, mark and tom for breakfast , but sadly they were closed for vacation , found a spot down the road to eat , then off to the parking area to get unloaded
wifey gets here cold blooded motor warmed up on the road
Matt tries to get his 2 smoker to start blowing smoke.
but if you wanna blow a fart you need to pull out your butt plug
and we are off to get warmed up on the stuff down by the river
then there was this double log crossing that todd and I made it over but I figured it would be a good place to set up the photo shoot
then I remembered that my new camera shoots video
click below
Tom needed to put his exploding turn signals back on
coming out of the woods we meet up with Bavesh, who I guess we were supposed to wait for this morning . oops sorry
for some reason the 2 smoker didn't want to start, couldn't be that we all had the E button and matt had kicked the thing a thousand times already .
mark lends a leg and gets it running .
No worries, we have all been there, mark had to kick my old WR when I first started .
and then there was the "hero section"
that had Tom and Bavesh turning back down for a second go at it
click the pic for the video
then they had at it again , wifey bringing up the rear in comical fashion
another vid
a bit further through the single track time for a break as teh bikes were getting as hot as we were
the tight track was having the trees win the battle today
we did a few laps around the mini sand track , cool little jump out there
last vid
after a snack break back in the parking lot , we met up with eddie and his group, todd mark and I headed back out with them , bavesh packed up for home while matt, tom and wifey did some bench racing .
not too far into into it we had our first interaction with gravity
shortly there after, mark headed back to the truck leaving todd and I to finish out the day with eddie and crew .
Thanks for leading us around, great job on those trails . good times for sure, even when I made my own trail and had todd follow me. and we both went down . not to mention my late day tumble down the hill.
awesome day for it I had fun , thanks to the cast of characters.

That is to funny, whata blast. I died laughing at that double log video. I am pretty sure that was Breakdirt916...?
Looks like it was a good time.
Looks like so much fun, my doorstep is 2 miles to the parking lot, can't wait to pick up a little trail bike to learn on.
wow geez...my bike sounds like a craftsman lawnmower on tape. I need to bring the RM...
I don't know how R7 got the 2-smoke started so easily...it seemed like Matt was turning the gas when he was trying!
I just watched that short hill climb w' rocks, and:
mysteriousR1/kb1: which gear were you in and what made you guys stop near the top? you were almost there! I was in 2nd gear, kept the engine rpm's in the range where it made the most power, tried my best to stay on the pegs, and keep the front light so it wasn't steered by the rocks as much.
Leah: "I'm so bad at this"
and trees were out to get us for sure...I still have some bark stuck in my brake lever that's keeping the peg from swinging out properly. I need to get some trailside tools for next time.

I saw an '05 CRF250 in Richmond, RI today for $1500. Didnt know if that was a good price or not...
I had a blast! Great fun had for sure and I hope to get out with you guys again! I need to get a plate able dual sport bike so I can get out on some of the other stuff you guys were talking about!
Bahvesh - I was in second hte whole way up, had I flicked it down to first I probably would have completed the climb without stalling but it also would have put the KTM right in it's "I'm going to fling Matt into the woods now" zone (which I had already experienced more than once).
I still can't believe my kickstart woes, Sean and Leah dropped me off I gave the bike a good wash. Let it sit outside for a bit - walked out and 1 kick started it with FLIP FLOPS on. When I pulled it off their truck I one kick started it with flip flops on to ride up the driveway! I guess that's the nature of the beast.
At any rate that was a great time! Thanks again to Leah and Sean for the ride, and the whole group for a fun day out. I hope we can do more rides like that soon.
