Great... then this bike, and the technology as it stands, does not meet your requirements yet. However, it probably meets a lot of riders. Assuming it's an actual, typical usage 50 mile range, I'd occasionally need more. But that's maybe 1 in 20 rides? RE: xxaarraa's question, I'd bet the overwhelming majority of single track trail ride days are safely under 50. Even if many of those people occasionally do longer days.
Granted, 50 is probably optimistic conditions and if it's more like 25-35 and cruising home with one eye on the 'fuel' gauge, that's probably cutting it out as an option for a lot more people. Still perfect for someone with a decent plot of land, but fun-police neighbors.
