How not to go over logs

I must say, I've seen my share of funny log crossings... but these?

How not to go over logs

Man o man. Thats pretty bad. You think with the kind of riding their doing, they'd know how to get over them.

I'm not saying I'm perfect, but I've gotten over logs like that without going ass over teakettle like those guys are. It looks like the majority of them still have their weight over the middle of their bikes on the way down, rather than hanging their arse over the rear tire.

They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

How not to go over logs

Yeah, but that was a pretty big log in some soft sand. I'm not sure I could do it...

WTF! kind of race was that?

    Those were huge logs.

The funniest ones are when someone looks to be contemplating... and another rider blows by him... then crashes big time.

That one guy made it look pretty easy.

I would definitely do the two stage method.

Loft up onto it. Climb off bike and push over the rear wheel.

Yeah, come to think of it Rebel, there aren't too many trees that size left standing on the east coast, and where they are, you certainly can't get near them with a dirtbike!!!

Go a bit farther north and there are plenty of trees that size or 2 or 3 times bigger... and you can ride your bike/quad close to them I could show you a blow down white pine in Maine that is close to 8'

There's only one stand of old growth that I know of in Maine (the Cathedral), and one in NC. Both protected...

I suppose there are some isolated big trees around, but not many over 75 years old... The ones pictured were BIG.
