I prolly shouldn't have gone. It wasn't confidence inspiring to ride knowing about the tire... I did manage to dial in the triple/double on the start straight, as well as double/double the high speed whoops every time. Not a total waste.
I made hard contact with a guy who was rolling these whoops and changed his line right between the two doubles. I was passing. We both stayed up, but I ended up heading counter course on the start straight!
They changed the runup to the spectator table. No more chicane. It's now a series of strange doubles that are tight. The landing of one was more like a hole than a ramp which made things interesting. The best tactic I found was to hit the top of the landing and bounce over the hole. Then there was a ramp that could easily jump you into the face of the table, so you had to check up. I suppose a pro might even double up onto the top of the table...
I liked the chicane better...
Didn't see anyone I knew, but the weather was perfect!
