    Opinions on body amour

    Hi guys and gals,
I am looking for some opinions on body armor like the one in the picture below. It seems that there are a bunch of different manufacturers of this type of armor. Who has what kind and do they like it. Thanks for the help.
Oh and I am a big and goofy at 6'4" and about 235 but fat, not in shape so I need something that will fit. I would rather try something on first but I will doubt that will happen. Do you guys know of any shops that carry a lot of MX gear?

    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Thanks!

Anybody else want to pipe up? The more this is discussed, the more informed I will be.

    Re: Opinions on body amour

I got an evs upper body armor suit just like the one you pictured. I took a nasty header last night on a pile of rocks down hill. The only thing that got injured was my pride and I hurt my thumb pretty good when I landed on it. I can't make a fist so good.

But I love the suit. It pretty much rocks. I used to wear arm/elbow guards and knee pads and that was it. With this thing on I feel very safe and comfortable. I highly recommend one.

I assume that just like any piece of gear, if you wear it for a while you will like it. I used to hate my Alpine Star boots because I could not feel the shifter like I could with my Gaerne boots, but now I am used to it. Same went for my Fox full protector. Now I won't ride without it.
