Im gonna get my bike running this weekend. I have a hotel friday night. practice is all cardio. Its a fairly easy ride if your lungs can handle it. I dont think I have ever touched my brakes on that track. You just roll out of the throttle or downshift. The sand does the rest.

wow, so exciting!
hopefully my bike will actually run when I try to piece her together on Friday night or Saturday
are you guys all practicing at your local riding areas or going to CH?
fasteddie: ya find any sand near us?
I'm going to try and get some more time in at MX207 Sunday, lots of softer terrain now to play on.
[QUOTE=typeone;1047596]i havent ridden dirt since the last StimilonQUOTE]
The most cardio I've done is a dodgeball tournament this past weekend. Yea, It's gonna be a shit-show for me. F-it. It's just a drink-fest anyway.![]()
sweet...I will start on the local mini track, try some of the woods, then try some CH...although cardio is DEF. going to kill me regardless
we only have 3 weekends left...so I'm def. going to try (pending functional bike) to get out at least 1 weekend morning, and maybe an hour once/week at my local mini track after I get out of rotation
James/Eddie: any of you guys planning on going to Franklin or Hodges anytime soon? I can't do 5/15 at all, so it would have to be this weekend (5/7-5/8) or the weekend before Stimilon (5/21-5/22)
I have been going to Hodges a few times already this year. I rode Franklin with Dan (black squirrel) on Sunday. James and PK were leaving as we were going into the trails. Get your RM together and we'll put you on the top secret list.
as long as the weather is decent, I will be headed to Hodges on Saturday with the wife. Probably be there around 3:30/4, ride for a bit.
sweet...so late Friday night and Saturday morning are my target times to re-assemble the bike...if it all works, then I may join you Mr. Biggity at Hodges (they have a sand/whoops section I want to tinker around in. but I am going to be absurdly slow...do you and your wife mind waiting up for me?) or wherever Mr. Eddie's going

Let's say there was this guy that really likes to ride in the woods that was thinking about doing this, what are the things that he would need to do to make this an enjoyable adventure? One thing that kind of sucks is that this person will be very busy and unable to do much riding and or prep until the day before the event.
What do you guys say?
Joel
I'm planning to ride Hodges around 11:00 as long as it's not raining in the morning.
even lining up on the gate and riding one moto at Southwick is fun. huge, rolling sandbox. the rest of the event makes it worth the cash, it's like a big private practice-day party.
put it this way, a friend of mine that came to spectate, who hasn't ridden dirt in ~19 years, was ready to borrow my gear and bike to get out there and mix it up for a session.
