    Sunday practice

I'm planning to start riding my practice track this weekend. Anyone interested in making the drive out?

I heard at my local dealer that there is a push this year to require those MA ORV registration EVERYWHERE, including private tracks and such. Has anyone heard this?

So, do I need to go pay sales tax and get stickers for my bike that will never see state forests? I'm still having a hard time swallowing that...

    Re: Sunday practice

unless something changes... yup. it's ridiculous. private tracks have been contacted, we may see EPO checking at CH this season

the other ridiculous part is with DS/sumo bikes, if you enter state forests or trails, you need a separate ORV sticker on the bike IN ADDITION to your street reg.

EDIT: wonder if Davo is dealing with this for Stimilon? i'm gonna drop him an email to find out, now i'm curious...

I pinged him on this a week or so ago, so far Southwick hadn't heard anything on the subject, at the time.

I dont post here much... just browse since i spend most time on "the other site"...

How can the state force you to have an OHV registration if you are on privately owned land(tracks and such)? And if they do this... how about all the National guys that come to ride at Southwick in August... they all need a MA OHV sticker now??

    I dont see this sticking...

I don't think they have enough pull to pull this off.

You need both in NH as well. Doesn't matter if you're plated for the street, you still need an OHRV registration. It's BS.

where did you read that street registered bikes in mass need to also have the atv stickers ?

this is a new one to me. This is BS as the atv money in mass goes into the general fund and none of it goes to the trails , unlike NH and maine I guess I wouldn't mind paying it if it meant more trails opening and improving but its just the state sticking its hnad out for more money.

check out those NEDB threads union posted, i've been following those as well... a few riders have been in touch w/enforcement and posted their communication... as the laws read now, dual reg is needed if you plan to DS trails. so lame

stupid mistake running out the door i looked at the side of the tire and saw '32psi' and dropped some. duh. as soon as i entered the trail i was like, someone fucked up. hahaa.

properly set to 15/14 for today (could go even lower with all the sand out there)

btw, too many rides this weekend! i want to make it down your way soon. should join us at Paul's! super fun spot

thanks, Eddie, i'll give that a try. 15/14 felt much better (obviously) today on mixed terrain with mostly sand. still running a little rich though, lotta spooge, and I feel a slight bog when on open straights. few more tweaks and she should be dialed. fun bike! we clocked 26mi today (Paul ripped more laps though)
