Damn Jay, you don't really use Bridgestones, do you!?!?!? Who the f*&# uses Bridgestones?!?...seeing as I came in just behind you last time out, and I use Michelins and Arai and Dainese, I must really truly suck!
This was a serious post/statement (no sarcasm here - I know I really do go slow...but I do also realize I'm not going anywhere in this field of dreams).
And as for Stow employing someone else, well all I can say from my life experience is: "If you want something done right, do it yourself" ...and maybe that's how Stow feels...so once again, it may all come back to: "You get what you pay for." ...You want cheaper, mass-produced shit, you got it...
I think there's a reason why the front runners in MotoGP AND F1 are on Michelins. I know there are so many variables and we don't get the same tires, blah, blah, blah...but the fact remains, Michelins win at the top, and shit (information!) flows downhill!! It's referred to as "trickle-down" technology...something I firmly believe in if you can't tell...
...so I still have those 019/012s or whatever-the-#$@k-they-are For Sale! ...Anybody...anybody?...Bueller?...Michael Schumacher maybe?...wearing an Arai during that ride in Mugello!?! ...even though he's under contract to wear a Schuberth in his car...Things that make you go "Hhmmmm"...

1. My 12 year old brother can balance a rim, there's no excuse for Stow not to get help if he wants it.
2. Tried bridgestones, they are shit, their support is shit, their fitting and help at the track is shit. I wouldn't race on one if thy were free...actually, i wouldn't ride a trackday on race compound Bridgestones...and you can take that to the bank, because if you do race on them, the bank is where you will end up, taking money out to pay for repairs.
3. The Arai that Schumacher was wearing is a Mamola replica. They give them (and insist on giving them) to everyone who rides on the back of the Ducati Alice pillion bike that Randy rides (along with matching leathers).
1] I talked to Stow(sp) at the MM Track Day and up to lunch he said he only sold one set of tires in his first 3.5 tracks days, he said he sold a few more after lunch, so I'm not sure he can really afford to pay for help.
2] He seemed very helpful and interested at Tony's track day he went around recording the bike types, tires and peoples impressions and skill levels.
3] His prices for the Pilot Race tires were excellent, even if they are discontinued according to him. What are they replacing them with? Could they be better.
4] I got mine else where and I think they are the best tires I've had.
5] I'm thinking with his pricing it would be worth it for me to take my 954 up there one day in the am just to get tires.
