I dont know how jim knows that? haha

    anywho...

    Scotti..

My new swingarm is in, my batter tray is in, Klepsa is giving me his old altenator cover for free since he got a woodcraft one, Chuck gave me a new windshield, SBK tail im about to order, all i'm waiting on now is the woodcraft shift linkage stuff and a fairing stay!

Then i have to clean the air filters, and bolt everything back up and start working on the body work.

    Swingarm-80$
    Battertray-50$
    New SBK tail with seat-150$
    ALtenator cover-Free
    Windscreen-Free

    Total so far....280$

    Fairing stay- 50$
    Woodcraft parts-70$
    OEM-bar end-??
    Fiberglass shit-???

its gonna be very cheap to fix my bike

I think i'm going to powdercoat my swingarm...any suggestions on where to go? (North Shore)

    Re: Down Goes Mondo

I've got fiberglass experience too.. let me know. For PowderCoating, Good Hues in Derry NH. 603-434-8034 These guys do a lot of powdercoating for some of the customer builders around. They also are the ones that set up at Motorcycle Night in Lowell. Meantion you saw them there and see if you get a break. I looked at their stuff and the quality is VERY good !!

    Re: Down Goes Mondo

    well some updates....

Klepsta did an awesome job and made me a castle socket tool for free so now I can remove the swingarm! And he also took my new swingarm out to get powdercoated. I replaced the battery tray, and started to strip all the stickers off the plastics so I can start the bodywork and finally paint. Figure while I have it apart ill do a few more things to it.

    -520 chain and sprockets
    -Relocate rear master cylinder
-SS brake lines (front and rear)
-Custom front sprocket cover (so I can access it)

All I have left to purchase is:

    -fairing stay
    -and parts for my rearsets

    its coming along well!

Just remember that if you end up doing a lot of track days, that you check that 520 chain often.

    Good to see the progress.

yea will do! I'm pretty good with the upkeep of my bike! Most guys run them over at 1000rr.net/us with no issue whatsoever.

    Re: Down Goes Mondo

There's no benefit to them, the chain and sprockets will just wear faster and more likely to snap the chain and break teeth on the sprocket, esp if it's aluminum. The power in modern 600's even call for a 525. The only plus for a 520 setup is you're more likely to find it at a trackside vendor if you're looking to change gearing.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

    Re: Down Goes Mondo

buying a supersprox sprocket, dont have to worry about wear since its an aluminum carrier with steel teeth (pete runs one) and the tensile strength on the DID and EK chain is more than enough if I keep up with maintaining the chain properly (which I do).

I know on here most people don't care for a 520 chain/sprockets on a liter bike, but as stated tons of people run them with no issue whatsoever on their 1000's. So it doesn't bother me at all, I've done my research

    http://www.supersproxusa.com/our_products_stealth.php

they even have a lifetime warranty for their sprocket that if the steel teeth start to wear that they will replace it for free (you pay 5$ up front for it) for as long as you have that same sprocket set up.

    http://www.supersproxusa.com/our_products_stealth.php

Pretty good deal in my opinion.
