We never got an explanation for that. Was he in the cursed kart that race?
I think he was in the cursed kart later when he was doing the point by.

Whomever has the sheets feel free to throw my PB up here. I'm pretty sure it isn't faster than a 23.xx from this last week.
Joel regrettably had an off night, sliding from a 23.086 last week to a 23.199 this week.
Larry had a documented 22.961 this Wednesday. Although, since there is no record of his times for the first session, I cannot deny that he may have put down times in the low 21's.
Larry managed an average of 25.114 driving the crap kart. In contrast to Kerry's average of 22.940 that same session.
Buy one get one free on Labor Day...
And the floor would be wide open as this girl is racing 2 wheels on Monday.

Hopefully they'll do another Oct/Nov deal like they did before so we can get a group going again. That was fun last year.
In related news I learned that my wallet will be significantly lighter sometime soon when K1 Speed opens an indoor go cart track in Wilmington MA. Went to a couple of K1 tracks in California and they seemed to be a legit set up. Might be more central for a lot of us as well. Guess we'll see when the time comes.
Hit a K1 speed in Orlando a few weeks back.
I'll take gas karts any day over those things. They were dogs.

Going to make a guess and say that the Orlando carts may have been long in the tooth. I'm thinking new venue, new carts, semi centrally located could be fun even if not the fastest or best around. Think about it, you had fun racing an EX500. Doesn't always have to be the fastest thing out there as long as everyone is on a level-ish playing field the racing can be fun.
I thought I'd like gas more too...but most karts tended to all feel the same to me after enough laps; elec or gas...no suspension, acceleration/brakes suck, just hold as much speed on "the line" as you can
@ F1boston, not all karts were of the same quality either...

We did electric karts in Haverhill once. Tiny place. Microscopic, lame course. Karts all sucked. Some more than others. Some had no get up. Others no brakes.
That was until the final heat. They did a runoff and the top 7 drivers were placed in the final heat. They then "de-restricted" the carts. Holy shit! Effected power and brakes. First lap was a spin-fest because none of us knew how to handle the karts setup that way.
Moral : electric karts can be cool.
