Title says it all... I was working like a mad man until the 17th as a tax accountant and now I have 1 week to safety wire my bike to try and race it next week, if I get my license on Friday, and if my bike passes tech.
How much beer/pizza/whatever would convince someone to come take a look at this thing today or tomorrow and make sure I don't have to redo it next week. I am still waiting on safety wire pliers, which are coming today but I don't need much physical help, just cant tell wtf I actually need to wire here and there isn't a ton of info online, at least that I have found. The Armour body fairings don't seem intuitive, but haven't spent long on that yet
Any help is welcome, in the concord area and the bike is just a lil ninja 250.
Can't help, but can give you a couple suggestions.
Go down to freedom cycle and buy some header nuts. They are easier to drill when not hardened from heat. Think you only need to do the two outside pipe bolts.
Buy a punch, makes starting the whole way easier. Buy a shitload of do bits. Your going to break them. Seems easier to drill on the bike with a cordless drill. I like to use a lube spray, like wd or pb on the bit to help it cut. Back off on the bit right before it goes through. This is hard to do, but seems to be when the bit breaks the most.

Shoot pigman a pm. He lives near you. Not sure if his availability or willingness to help, but he's a good dude and would probably help for some booze and maybe a handie.

The LRRS rule book has all the information you need on safety wiring your bike. If my bike was not apart I would offer to help today but at the moment my garage is a disaster .
short list... Drain plugs, oil filler cap. oil filter needs to be secured also. Brake caliper mounting bolts, Exhaust mounting bolts, Axle nuts and front pinch bolts. If you still need help I may have time mid week. If you want to travel to Wolfeboro. send PM if your stuck..
If you can bring your bike to me in North Andover right off 495 I can help. I have a bike lift that makes it a lot easier to work on. Should only take an hr or two
Shoulda checked this again today, thanks for the offer though. Looking like I will be able to get it done just taking a little longer than planned haha
It took me six hours to do my first race bike.... it takes some time for the first time

I've got no experience safety wiring anything other than an oil filter, but before you remove the bolts from the bike, mark the spot/angle you want to drill, that would make it easiest for wiring later.
I'm not far from you. Feel free to ping me if you need a hand.
Buy lots of drill bits. Lots. Cutting oil helps.
Got it finished but went way overboard on all my kawi hose clamps etc but at least I wont be leaking anything. Threw some braided lines on and the thing was a blast. Thanks for the replies guys, I was intimidated at first but that was super simple, although I'm slow as hell at it still haha. Just a little dab of used moto oil worked pretty well for the bits but too well with too much.
FAWK.............. I def would have done it for a HANDY and I am local too FML![]()
