this really puzzles me. it looks like a beautiful track. actually, why isn;t there an AMA superbike race there? it's not like it's new.

Armco Barriers hurt BAD

I have done lots of laps at Lime Rock and there are at least two good reasons that we can not race and have track days there. First it is not at all safe for motorcycles. There is armco (steel rail) all around the outside of most corners. Next the town will not allow any motorcycle racing at the track. It is a CT. blue law and has been on the books for many years. I have been on the track at lunch time quite a few times. I love the track but if you go off it you could easily get killed.
