ducati 748 9k miles 4k price
neither ur gonna kill urself
to the OP: I made a thread about this not that long ago.
If this is your first bike purchase you probably need to purchase gear as well... so don't forget to factor that into the costs. There are also costs to maintain and insure.

I like Irish Car Bombs:Ever had a boilermaker? Shot of whiskey dropped into a beer and chugged? Don't think I've ever had a more vile concoction in my life. And I like beer and whiskey.
50/50 shot of Jameson and Baily's (layered), dropped into a 1/2 pint of Guiness then chugged.
gin goes with tonic and lime. Or add a couple ounces to liven up a can of sparks.Originally posted by bigred875
vodka shaken up with ice isnt a martini..thats my point...but i am with ya...i prefer the jet fuel lol
Vodka martini is a martini. What isn't is all the stuff they serve at martini bars....choclate, apple, blue, red, whatever. It's gotta be clear and it's gotta be straight up rocket fuel.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
i think they are fun...made my brother do one on his 21st to start the night off..lol it ididnt end well for himOriginally posted by Honclfibr

20 beers or 3-4 martinis? Which do you prefer? I challenge anyone to keep up without crapping their pants.![]()

Typical dinner with Peter after dirt riding includes 3-4 martinis, and last about an hour. We usually decide not to drink to heavy and head home after that, being a weeknight and all.Originally posted by mikeb

Nonetheless, I weigh considerably more than you, and could drink you under the table. I'll drink whiskey, you drink whatever girly liquor you want.![]()

I abuse my body so badly it has a tolerance to everything. I had the plaque but it gave up and moved out because my toxin levels were too high for it's comfort level, and that was on a sober day.Originally posted by highsider

Back on topic................
YES !!!!!!!!!! Please factor in some good quality safety gear to include helmet, gloves, jacket and riding boots. Also, get some good overpants if you have money left over, otherwise always wear long pants.
Again, if you only have a limited amount of money to spend, stay away from the Ducati. I love mine, but the bitch is HIGH maintenance !!!!!!!!

Okay, perhaps I'm in no position to comment since I'm a newb too, but:
You mentioned it is your first bike purchase, so I don't know if you've been on a bike, or what your experience is.
How 'fing gay' are you going to look dumping that fast bike, rather than learning to ride responsibly (on a smaller bike)?
In the end, you're going to make the decision for yourself anyway. I think that some people are trying to give you some honest advice. Up to you whether you want to listen or not.
Dr Pepper Slammer.
8 oz beer
Shot of Amaretto topped off with 151 and lit on fire.
Drop the shot in the beer and chug accordingly.
As for the 748... it could be a decent deal... send it my way.
