That's just about the only dyno graph floating around the internet.

The only other one is on Two Brothers website. Even stock, theirs is up on torque all the way across the powerband compared to the one motorcycle.com put on the dyno. MO claims it was broken in but who knows. If you compared 2 Brothers stock 02 to MOs stock 01 (supposedly stock) the 02 is better. Like you can really tell a whole lot from one or two examples.

Read the entire content of the articles, it is clear Honda shifted it more towards touring and away from being a pure sportbike. The VTEC is part of that. I've gone 220 miles on mine before the reserve came on. You won't do that on an 01 from everything I've read. Despite all that almost everyone says the 02 handles better as well. It's heavier, but it's center of gravity is lower, and the forks are beefier. The transmission ratios are also different, which makes the 01 vs. 02 ride differently.

If you are making a big deal over 1-2hp you clearly need to look for another bike, this one was not intended for you. If they had made the VFR 100lbs lighter with 120hp and a 130 mile tank range, I wouldn't have bought it. It would have been too physically small for me and no fun to ride all day long.

Yes, i realize that those are stock cans, i was just curious about how much after-market cans can set you back. Well, i have answered my own question. Two Brothers offers a set at around $750..ouch
And one of them is a dummy can, for storage. Routing the stock pipes into one real can. Yet they still charge double a single can for a normal sportbike. But the weight savings is dramatic

I don't think those kits delete the Cat. (You can see the cat in the laser 4-pipe pic)

What I read was about 110-115rwhp with aftermarket cans, no cat, 02 eliminators, and a power commander.

Note if you go read VFRDiscussion their is a lot of whining about FI issues after they mess with them.

As far as my experience, the FI is light years better than the Carbs on my SV were. Only time the VFR gets annoying to me is in heavy traffic when the coolant goes over 210F. It feels like the throttle gets more twitchy if the temp is up that high. Some people are bothered more than others. Even when the VFR is acting up it is better than my SV was at low speeds. But I figure any bike sucks when you're stuck in a sea of non-moving cages so I just get pissed off, maybe it's me and not the bike.

I also had the engine die in between shifts once when I know the idle speed was set correctly. Very weird. It started again instantly and I couldn't get it to happen again, so I assume it was a stupid computer fluke.

Stock is fine with me. I need to slow down anyway, the bike tempts me to go too fast.

is weight savings. That will increase power to weight ratio
Not necessarily HP. But at a $800 price tag...ouch

Maybe the VTEC is a gimmic after all. I did a 350 mile ride with a guy who has an 01 today.

We both got over 200 miles before reserve came on for our last tank of gas. So they both go plenty far.

He had a 2-brothers 4-into-2-into-1 setup. It sounded good, like a twin at low revs. I didn't hear what it sounded like at high revs. Maybe this winter I'll get the Two Bros. one with the fake second cannister.
