If you've procrastinated this season, it's that time again. 23 days left until your 2008 MA inspection sticker expires.

Annalisa & I got ours done today. We hit up some little custom bike shop in Blackstone. The guy was funny. One less thing to worry about.

For those on the North Shore, I got mine done this year at Canal Street Cycles in Salem, Mass. Ironically located on Canal Street. They popped up a few years ago, and seem to be a general purpose bike repair/service place, maybe a little towards the cruiser spectrum but I frequently see sport bikes going in and out too. Friendly, quick, no BS.. in-and-out in 5 minutes. Open Saturdays. Not affiliated, just a happy inspection sticker customer...

That's good info.. I still need to get an inspection sticker and was going to take it to Boyd's in Salem. You think Canal would have any problems passing a fairly loud v-twin sport bike?

My bike is stock but based on their relative coolness and the bikes I see there, I'm thinking you won't have a problem.

Went to Rick's on 117 in Leominster last weekend. Very quick, very easy. Looked at the VIN #, checked the lights, checked the brakes. That's it. I passed with an aftermarket exhaust, if anyone's worried about that. Shop's run by a few older guys, they mostly work on cars. There was a line for car inspections, but bikes get to go around back, no waiting.

They did give me a copy of the printout, which, if I'm not mistaken, I heard you're supposed to keep on you at all times now with the registration (I think that's new this year). Anybody wanna confirm that?

I just started going to the guys on Canal St. last year when I needed a tire mounted and balanced. I like those guys.

Except they seem to be slacking something awful on buying replacement wheel bearings for me.

It is new this year and not mandatory you carry it. ( Direct from the mouth of our service manager )

found this shop last year right next to me. he didn't even check the bike. hand him the registration and he comes out with the sticker. how cool is that?

I know Dave Boyd personally. Tell him Brendan with the Hayabusa and Gixxer sent ya. Although the laws are cracking down again. If you aint running straights, you'll be ok. That is where I go. Gotta love friends!

a few big things ppl fail for at my shop is no chain gaurd or missing license plate light.

I'm running an exhaust with no baffles, yoshimura RS-5. Do you guys think Canal Street Cycles will pass it?

chuck's bike failed because his chicken strips were too big. the inspection guy said there's no way he'll allow a to ride a street bike like that
