How about a GSXR 750?!
Best of both worlds -- right Billy!
what model/year do you have now?
what are you (or aren't you, i should say ) doing with it that makes you think it isn't fast enough?
ps - you answered your own question. if you think it's not fast enough, then i guess it's worth the money to go 1000, right? or you could keep saying the 600 isn't fast enough, and keep it.
2007 GSX-R600
1997 ZX-9R (sold)
1979 RD400F Daytona Special (sold - i know, i know)
Had at one point or another for off-road: KX125, Four-trax 250R, 250 3wheeler, XR250, XR400
Why don't you take your 600 to Loudon and see if it still feels slow. Otherwise, get a gsxr750 and put the savings toward all the moving violations you'll be paying...it's only a matter of time. If the 750 still doesn't make you happy, move to a liter bike.

NO LIMIT
Change the sprockets, go 1 down in the front and up 2 in the rear. It will be way more fun.

I am actually going back to a smaller cc bike for the track. The 1krr is tooo big for louden but Im tooo big to only have 600 cc on the street and besides the CBR is soo comfortable for the street 570 miles last weekend no problem

Get a V-Twin, and be done with it...But my twin is slow too.
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.

Can't believe it took youz guyz 13 post to figure this one out.. :dunno, you guys are slipping.. Like The Great Hessogood says: "Helmets weight your head down and cause it to be pulled toward the ground in a crash. They're dangerous." Hopefully you live in NH or RI with no helmet laws..

[QUOTE=jdrolls;418230]i have a 05 r6 and i have the need for speed and ive always had fast toys/cars/trucks ect.. and i just dont think my bike is fast[/QUOT
Get the standard, the automatics are wicked slow.
Seriously, you need a kawa zx-14 with a twin turbo (one low pressure and one high pressure), add some NOS for a top end boost and an air shifter so you won't lose acceleration time with pulling in that pesky clutch. Make sure to wear a tank top, shorts and flip flops at all time as this will reduce weight and drag thus making you even faster. 115hp in a 360lb bike is WAAAAAAY too slow, I would not settle for anything less than 170hp to the rear wheel.
I piss excellence!
Well now that the abuse has been dished out
in quantity, maybe you wanna ask your question
again in a different form? You still here?
You can see that alot of folks here don't care much for plain old
straight line speed.
Its when leaned over that the
fun gets better ! That's refering to turning on a motorcycle now, kids!

Power to weight ratio so if a 600 is "too slow" for you then get a bigger bike. Everyone is different but I know my 600 has no problem moving all 160 lbs of me. love my gix.
To answer the question best 600 and 1000 streetbike...The Yamaha R6 is the best 600 and the Yamaha R1 is the best 1000!! Next question?
