Ok well i finally paid off the ZZR i toasted in September. (Note to self - Gap Insurance)
So now i'm looking at my options for my next bike. I've got a few tough choices ahead. the eternal new vs used dilemma and a few other things
Here is the bikes i've been looking at
05-06 Kawi ZX-6r 636 $5000
09 Triumph 675 $9000
09 Kawi Zx-6r $8000
05-08 ZZR 600 $4000
The 675 feels nice i just know that parts can be a bit pricey and not sure how well it will take the miles i will throw at it. Last season i managed 10k in 3 months before my little incident
Anyone got decent miles on one yet?
I really like the 09 Kawi Zx-6r I just don't know how i feel about buying a new bike i ill have 15-20k on by next winter providing i can keep it shiny side up
The 05-06 636's are comfy and a lot cheaper and really nice looking, also they've been around for a little while so parts are cheaper and common
The ZZR600 is just really cheap at the moment i just wish it wasn't carbed. i loved the first one but think i want to go a little sportier
Basically i'm bored and looking for some input, its winter lol

636 is a fun bike. I had an 03' and I loved it - very responsive, good looking bike. I really like the Triumph, but like you said parts will probably cost more. I'd say get the Kawi.
Just saw this and thought you might like to see it. http://burlington.craigslist.org/mcy/1506842279.html
The 09 ninja in my opinion. I have an 08 and love it, and i hear with the redesigned motor the thing is a beast! unless you wanna buy my 08 special edition![]()

Wanna 2007 1098?
Hmmm that 636 is veryyyyy interesting . . . .
The new 09 is very well engineered and getting a lot of props from a lot of people .. .
and No i think a 1098 is a bit to much bike for me.

Wanna go BIG? Make ya a steal of a deal on my C-14. Better someone here getta deal than the dealer. Course, if you're thinkin' lighter sportbikes, the C might be a bit much even with 150 ponies..
That Craigslist add of the blue 636 looks good. I love that years blue color, it's the color I would paint my bike if it needed a paint job.
Out of that list I would vote for the 675 hands down
Had an '05 636 for 27,000 miles. Great bike, NEVER had an issue. Pretty comfy for a supersport as well. No complaints
My friend has a '09 ZX6R, I love the engine and handling of that bike, seat is not so soft and cozy as the 636 but not terrible. No complaints on that bike on the few hundred miles I've done
Also ridden the 675 multiple times, love the torque band, the sound of the engine and the looks. Very high seat for me (5'5") and def the least comfortable of the 3 but it all depends on what you want to ride the bike for......
Just my 2 cents and good luck finidng a bike!!
I haven't ridden a new Kawi, but I did spend a good amount of time on an 06' 636. Didn't blow me away. I have an 04 R6 and they were pretty similar. I did ride an 08 CBR 600 and thought that it blew away older 600's. Don't know if this helps.

Thanks for the input guys, Matt that SE 675 is awesome!!! i love that color combo
I pretty much live on my bike one it getting nice enough out so i'm still doing a lot of research on this decision. kinda debating about a brandy new bike just for the warranty since it will probably have 20k within a year of purchase

I think you'll be hard-pressed to find any OEM where you would "need" a warranty. Bike technology is stoic enough nowadays and in an ultra-competitive sales market there isn't much room for defects or mistakes in a given manufacturing process. But with 1 Trumpet and 3 Kwaks on your list, and all of them sport-oriented bikes, you don't give much of a chance to let other OEM's as well as motorcycle catagories shine for you allthewhile you see your insurance rates drop a bit.
Mileage shouldn't even be a concern, what with bikes easily going 100,000 miles or more with basic maintenance and all on a factory-original engine.
Consider some of the standard or sport-touring type bikes while you're looking around. They are very capable and sporting machines and will likely surprise you if you threw a leg over any of them. At the very least, there's the 919, 599, FZ6, VFR, Speed Trip, Street Trip and SV650.

I love my 08. I think they are comfy, but then again i'm not the tallest guy in the world. I think the seat could be just a little bit better but other then that i wouldnt change things around.
