This thread got all sorts of ugly. I thought it was funny when there was what seemed to be some jesting back and forth, now it's just become way to personal. Time will tell what will really happen but I gotta say, I'm starting to see things from the "other" perspective here.

Either way, ya'll have fun at the first race weekend, I am looking forward to some fun to read race reports.

You guys are right, it has just gotten stupid and ugly, and honestly have nothing against Brian and don't doubt he is a good guy in person, that's why I said I'm done with it. And as far as me having a big ego, you called that one wrong because I tell everyone that on a good day I'm a mediocre racer. Where I had a problem was when if he didn't like what I told him, could have ignored me, but chose to Dis me instead. I know in the past alot of people beat him up about his cockiness, but I never did, never gave him anything but some facts about the enventuality of crashing. He chose to turn it into a battle and a big fault of mine is I have a hard time backing down from a fight, 100% my bad.After going back and reading some of his past posts, I should have swept it all under the rug. But it all was pretty tongue in cheek to me, as he matters no more in my life than I do in his. I really do wish him all the best and hope he loves the sport and sticks with it, we need all the entry fees we can get.CBR said it best, back to getting bikes done. Peace out.

The ego comment didn't have anything to do with your riding ability or what you think of yourself on the track, but with how you kept going and going and digging and digging w/o letting it go. It turned you into a keyboard commando.

that's not too bad. didn't Greg get both feet on the ground before putting the wheel down? and that was on an EX500.

It was my race after the RR, I'm not sure if my feet hit the ground (ask chip as he was in pre-grid) but after I recovered I was surprised to find there was no gear selector only to find out my toes were resting on the exhaust. Keep in mind my RR was the first time I had ever ridden this bike and it being standard shift while I'm used to GP made for quite the epic lap times.

Your probably better off trying to launch the bike in the rookie race. Think of it like a practice launch. If you screw it up its not that big of a deal. You dont get anything for winning and you would have learned something for the real race launch.

Thought that was mandatory anyway? I try to do that each practice but nothing takes place of actually launching with a couple of other bikes around doing the same thing and aiming for the same piece of real estate.
