    Got my bike tuned....

Finally got my bike tuned at RJ's in Nashua.
He did a great job! Highly recommend him, great guy to deal with.
The "tune" that was on their from last summer when I got my stuff installed was crap and way to rich.

So I got her tuned and she now makes 153.7 hp at the wheels and i think 77 ft/lbs of torque. I'm pretty happy with it. Feels way smoother and more responsive. But I only rode it in the rain on the way home today so I'll have to do more "testing" this weekend

Ill post up the dyno sheet tommorow its at my house now and im over melissa's

    performance mods include..

    Flapper Mod
Full Akropovic Titanium Race Exhaust (Hex Canister)
    PC-III
    BMC Race filters

Good shit Mike. So have you taken the bike out since the rain ride to see how it actually feels?

I am thinking about grabbing a set for my 675 but 275 bones for 3hp is not that impressive

i've heard they're a trade-off, and will narrow the powerband -- peak vs. breadth/flexibility, which is what a literbike is supposed to be all about, isn't it...?

it depends how you change them. for the gixxers, people will often buy 2 OEM short or OEM tall stacks. i forget which way give more torque, but they'll make all 4 stacks short/tall to control the powerband

it all depends on the bike . . . aot of the guys on 1000rr.net run them so without positive results so i tried it.

i know that if you take a busa and swap intake and exhaust cams and swap the stacks from side to side putting the larger in the middle and smaller on the outside its a easy 35 rwhp

HRC doesn't put its name on junk fyi

    Re: Got my bike tuned....

I know some people use stacks and lose HP...some gain. The important thing is, once you install the stacks it really needs to be tuned.

On the gixxers, 1000s at least, factory pro stacks were giving about 6 hp, not bad for $200 or so. Removing the secondary flies another 6. Not bad for free. I have yet to do either because I have no AFR tuner. Must look into PC V
