the headlights look a little too "ducati" for me, but it seems like a step in the right direction, hey maybe if they can ditch the hardly engine, they can ditch the hardly dealers too .

oh what the hell is a "Hyrdaulic Vacuum-Assist Slipper Clutch"? more of Eriks magical gadgetry?

This makes me a visionary I guess with my 2000 X1 Not that I'd buy one but I would have to at least look at it. I guess the next demo day I do won't just be for the free sling bag or laptop case...

my biggest beef with Buell has always been the harley power plant.
They've done some great work with the chassis and other components.

more pics, dealer show and studio. not feelin' the front end until i see it in person. i'm sure its extremely aerodynamic though.

guess the motor isn't just a drop-in Rotax affair. co-designed then built to Buells spec. pretty cool. can't wait to demo it.

The new Buell with Rotax lump debuts tomorrow

I was just saying to a H-D guy the other day. I'd love to ride an American sport bike if we made any that were as good or better than what else is being made. Maybe that time is FINIALLY here or coming soon.

To me it is about time Buell ditched the H-D power plant. To many restrictions and just not a good fit for a sport bike. As a mechanical engineer before being a brewmaster it always was disappointing that there are no top end American sportbikes! We love them, we ride them and we certainly have the technology and ability to build them.. so why is it that Eric Buell is the only one trying to do it? Forget about the retro bullsh_t or sport cruiser bullsh_t, we want something that can hang with the best from Japan & Italy! And oh yeah it can't cost $20k so only the few will be able to afford them.

Glad to see some serious progress from Buell, now lets see what it can do!

    375 lb dry weight!

Those scoops ugly as hell. Exciting to see Buell try another powerplant.

    148 hp, 82ft-lb torque.

that is sweet. not so sure about those side scoops, you could suck a small person through those. but nothing a set of race plastics cant fix. pretty sweet. maybe itll make those xb12rs alot cheaper so i can afford to buy one
