Would you buy a 2006 Kawi ZX6R for $5500?

I have the opportunity to pick up a 2006 Kawi zx6r for $5500 and under 549 miles. It has some scratches and a 2 inch crack on the upper cowl (supposedly when the bike was in storage a door shut on the upper cowl and cracked it). I would sell my 03 600rr to my bro and pick this up. What do people think? Good buy?

Id have to look at it to be sure and inspect the damage. Im also assuming its a clear title and the guy has it in hand? If thats the case then it sounds like a decent deal if the damage isnt bad. The ones on ebay are going for a little bit more.

It's hard to tell without seeing a bike. Depends on how much damage is there. If it's only that crack and a few light scratches, then yes, it's a good deal! And believe me, this bike is amazing! 636 cc gives you that low/mid torque that other 600cc bikes don't have, also peak power is the best in class. Plus all the other goodies like slipper clutch, wave rotors, etc...make this bike #1 in my list. BTW, what color is the one you thinking to buy?
Oh and a seat is very comfy for those long rides! Can't wait to see another zx-6r in the next group ride in spring

My brother and I are not going to go thru with it because he didn't mention that the stator cover also had long deep scratches and that cannot be caused by a door shutting on the bike. I'm thinking he's hiding something.
