I kinda have one at the NY store... the thing about BMW though is that you are basically going to pay full price. They put on a lot of free lunches and stuff so thats where the "savings" is.

I saw on ebay a BMW place in IL that said we are not allowed to advertise below MSRP but we can sell it for whatever we want. I gather from that comment they are willing to deal.

Joe at Greater Boston Motorsports/BMW of Cambridge is good and easy to deal with...
+1 Nic and Secondwind. I've been dealing with these guys for a long time and they've always been great.
Nothing against MAX though, I've had service there a few times and my dad got his K1200S (and before that K1200GT*) from there and was treated pretty well.
There were some great rebates on the "old" '08 K1200 bikes (now that the K1300's have been released). Leftover GT's should have a decent discount.
*my dad couldn't stand that my S was ever so slightly faster than his GT. Six months later, and he really misses the comfort of the GT's riding position/wind protection.

i did a lot of dirt on the tiger last year in ma and vt last year and had a BLAST, but wanted to carry more gear and figured the gsa would be a nice upgrade.
as to rides, i don't currently plan on going to alaska (this year)
i'll stick with ma, vt and a couple of trips to pa.
the bike was below retail and i beat him up a little more and got a very good price on the extended warranty.
if it hasn't sold yet i know where there's another 08, but that dealer dosen't do extended warrantys
i picked up just about everything i wanted from one person on advrider who sold his 07.
if anyone looking for a 05 tiger with around 6k on the clock i have a very nice one that i'll be moving soon.

+1 on Second Wind, not that I've had any problems with stuff I've gotten via MAX's
I've known Rusty the parts manager at Max's since I bought my K100 from Freeman's Cycles in 1985. Unfortunately, I talk to him about once every ten years so I don't think that relationship can be used for a discount... Great guy though.
Like others have already mentioned, I go to Second Wind for my bike. Nothing wrong with Max's, it's just that Second Wind is closer and they've always been really good to work with.
