honestly i dont want that much of a bike. just want the styling. if they had put a 600 engine in it that would be better. maybe i can downdrade instead of uupgrde the cans and pcm or whatever. is it posible to tweak a limiter so it goes out at lower rpm?

It goes like this: u buy the big sumbitch and go into debt, not to mention the insurance $$ you're gonna be paying for it. Then u realize much less control over your throttle hand then previously thought, so u collect sum tickets from the man(and u will). Then u crash a few times and realize it's a bit too much and that you'd improve your skills 'n confidence much, much faster if you had a smaller bike, especially considering you only get about 7 months a year to improve those skills in these parts.

So you lose $$ on the trade in, then next year you see yer freakin' insurance bill has skyrocketed, and that sucker won't drop for 6 years, and only if yer a good boy or don't get caught (but u will).

If you've got kids, why don't you save the cash and get the cheaper more controllable bike(that you can learn on), and pick up a couple cheap dirt bikes for you and yer kids.

Shit, I don't even know ya, but after reading this thread it's clear you don't have the skills [yet]...and those that do know ya are trying to help but you aren't listening.

So buy the 10 and attract a bunch of ooh's an ahh's from folks who don't know bikes. But don't be surprised by those that do know bikes who look at you, realize yer [in]ability, and call you Kook!

i ask that all you please lay off! i wasn't born yesterday and please dont lecture like im a kid. i will not mention anything about this anymore you can be sure. i dont remember asking about if i should get this bike or that bike. i'v made up my mind awhile ago about getting 10R. i'v made a mistake about sharing what i wanted to get.

another thing, i really dont care if smaller bike gives better learning curve and i care verymuch about driving records.

That is not exactly a clean record, even if you are loaded and didn't have to make insurance claims for the repairs. Is that the case?

It amazes me that anyone would quote you $1300 on a ZX-10R. If I was selling insurance I'd quote you the replacement price of the bike you were riding.

1) im not loaded
2) 7R crash was due to cager cutting from 2 lanes over and hit me.
3) F4i is still good. not crash. just title issue.

the only points i deserved was from last crash.

i give up. Please make it stop.

oh and it should not have amaze you the $1300 quote as i have over 6yrs driving records and that didn't include the 10% MFS class because i lost the card. i'v been paying about $1700 the past few yrs for a honda civic in a slum area.
