valves are really really easy to check and adjust. If they're too far out you're looking at engine work. Get a set of gauges and I can walk you through it on the phone.

i did the valves on heaths 426. not too bad. shim under bucket i think (may be OVER bucket though) either way...your pulling the cams to change them and sometimes you can get lucky and just swap them around.

I loved my YZ 426. My first dirtbike and first MotardMuch easier to start IMO than the newer 450's with the auto decomp. The 426 was always a first kicker, the 450 takes 2 or 3 kicks to start
