I did that to my neighbor once. I was spinning the chain while he was wiping it down with a rag. Got his thumb caught between the chain and the rear sprocket. it was black and blue for weeks and he lost his nail.

I know someone who did that exact same thing. Just his pointer finger on his left hand. He said he knew it was really dangerous and was being really careful but the rag caught and took off the tip of his finger. You can hardly tell unless he holds both hands up together ...then you can see his left pointer finger is about 1/4" shorter than his right.

He says he'll never do that again.

(Oh yeah...that guy? Yep...me!)

I'm not gonna lie, sometimes when I don't have someone to help, I clean a moving chain. That said, I use one of them brushes so there's no way for my fingers to get pulled in. One time, it did take a piece of the brush though!

This happens too often, they need to put warning stickers on the swingarm. These stickers should be 3x standard size on all gixxer models.

Make sure you always use your left hand during foreplay.. it'll make everything else appear larger.
