On a bunch of measures it'd waste the busa. Braking, lateral G's, top speed, Performance in the RAIN, aerodynamic efficiency and downforce, not to mention style.

Not the prettiest car, but definitely a feat of engineering, and still the fastest accelerating/braking production car in the world - plus you'd need a skilled rider to get those kinds of numbers out of the busa, but with the DSG gearbox, many drivers could get top figures from the Veyron.

And as far as around the ring - they would be neck and neck in the straights, but unless you had a seriously skilled rider on the bike, the Busa would nail it to a wall; just look at this vid of a Lambo Gallardo Superleggera vs. the Ducati 1098. If it was the Bugatti not the Lambo, the duc would been wasted

when the veyron first came out it could be had for about a million, I think I wouldn't mind reselling it for the 1.7 million, and that was mostly the dollar tanking.

I'd take the Veyron if you said I could have either.

an unrestricted busa with a small turbo will out perform it across the board still for hundreds of thousands less. not to mention a car with those capability's is very high maintenance. retarded to compare cars to bikes.

the veyron isnt even going to be the fastest car soon. theres something called the barabus TKR or something. has a 0-60 in like 1.7 seconds and a top speed of....270 i think?

270 is going to be tough. Once you start surpassing 250 you have to have a tire specially made to handle the speed. Getting that tire made and DOT legal will be a challenege I'm sure.

I can't wait to see what they do though

    Re: feel like saving $1,688,000

When I worked for Mercedes Benz in Germany, I saw and sat in a lot of supercars, one of which was the Veyron. It is something from another planet entirely, a really, truly incredible feat of engineering. The engine, the 4 turbos, the handling, suspension. I mean a 'busa is cool and all, but the veyron is a work of art.

I do love bikes cause I love beating Porsches when they get sassy on the highway, but if a veyron messed with me, Id probably bow gracefully and let it pass, cause that is engineering royalty baby.

Also, IMO a hayabusa is really good for tricking out, standing beside, and going fast as hell in a straight line. I'll take a lighter, flickable, hot-cornering machine any day! But to each their own.

And I think it is safe to say... I will never own a veyron. eeever. $$$$

Normally aspirated motorcycle engines are approaching the 180 horsepower per liter range as opposed to the Veyron's 125 hp/liter with quad turbos. I consider that some remarkable engineering.

Hell, if we really want to make legit comparisons, then compare the Ariel Atom and the Busa - Atom will out accelerate, corner, and brake the Busa, but tops out at 140 or something - still, with a supercharged Civic Type R engine, sequential box, etc, it's a better comparison, and only 40 grand or so. Would much rather have the Atom.

It's to my understanding that Bugatti did exactly this when they needed to source tires for their beloved Veyron. I believe Michelins were on the first iteration of this car.

Pagani Zonda or the Bugatti EB110S

Corner and brake yes, but the Busa still has it in raw acceleration by a healthy margin.

Things may change later this year when they release a supercharged 2.4L V8 Atom making 500HP!
