    Fuel controller questions

I'm considering purchasing a fuel controller and a somewhat quiet slip on muffler for my recently purchased 2009 Yamaha Fz1. Ideally it will be plug and play with minimal options, I don't anticipate ever having the bike "dyno" tuned. The factory FI is not that smooth to begin with and I expect just a slip on will exaggerate the poor existing FI mapping.
Also any recommendations for somewhat quiet slip on? Right now I'm leaning towards Arrow or Mivv exhausts.
I have listed below the fuel controllers that I have found to be compatible with the Fz1, any thoughts? Any recommendations, comments?

    Re: Fuel controller questions

I would go with the dynojet line. There is a tuner in NY that has done a lot of R&D on the FZ-1 including an ECU update to remove much of the throttle roughness as well as the power limiting in the lower gears. He provides dynojet maps that go with the ECU updates. If someday you end up going with the ECU update , you'll already have the PC.

On the subject of exhausts, I have the Yosh on my FZ with the insert and it's not obnoxious. Also, they have a full system (developed in collaboration with the tuner I discussed above) that brings a nice increase in midrange torque.

Check out www.yamahafz1oa.com The tuner is Ivan.

Anyone have opinions or experience with either of the Two Brothers juice box or Dale walker Holeshot Dobeck TFI tuning box? How about the Arrow or Mivv for the Fz1?

Juice Box Pro are compatible with Dynojet maps. That should be very useful. For the Z1000 / Ninja 1000, the best package to date has been Ivan's reflash to start, and then full exhaust and his map. Huge improvements!

Oh, such a beautiful tarmac. Look how smooth it is. See how smooth it is? And it's warm, and it's hard. - Charley Boorman, Long Way Round
