nicely done, jackie. if you're going to keep the 650R, how will you be getting it out there?
it'd be a blast to ride XC, but it'd take some planning and a seat more comfortable than mine, lol.
hurray, strikethrough!

I haven't quite decided that part yet. With the $$$ they will give me to move, I could just ship it. On the other hand, it may be just as easy to rent a trailer and tow it myself, since its only 1 bike. Maybe I'll sell it and buy a new one there. I don't even know if I'm keeping my car or not!

There is some screwy law about 49 state vehicles going to Cali has to be more then X used to get registered.

That being said, I think the Ninja 650 that was sold here is the same one that is sold in CA. Check with your dealer. I think it is supposed to be more than 8000miles for a car. Don't know for a bike. Sunnyvale is a very nice place and the weather is awesome! Great riding around, especially skyway and route 9 out there. I wish I was moving...8-(
FML.
So I went to the doctor today because I still feel like shit after my surgery and they say that I'm not absorbing any nutrients. Right now, I'm B12, Calcium, Iron and one other thing I don't remember-deficient. They put me on about a billion different pills a day and if that doesn't work, they may have to remove some of my intestine. I'm also seeing a specialist out of Dartmouth now.
So long story short, if I end up having surgery again, I'll have to give up the job they offered me since I won't be able to work for a few months. Even shittier, I won't know if I need surgery for a few weeks and the manager that wants to hire me is leaning on me pretty hard to make a decision one way or another.
Boo.

Thaaaat sucks! Get better soon!
I recommend prayer
It must be very frustrating but that medical sounds serious
Any intestinal stuff can't be messed with especially the recuprative period
Do what and only they tell you to do.
Stall then tell them the truth so you don't make an enemy

What does FML stand for?
Is this for Crohn's or something? Sunnyvale is within a stone's throw away from Stanford University medical center. I spend 5 weeks there (as an MD, not patient). It's a great place. I hope you don't need surgery and can get yourdream job. I'm at MGH and if you need a second opinion I can help you get to the right people.
Good luck with everything.

Cheesh Jackie....you looked good Sunday. Sorry to hear you're not feeling so hot. Man, that whole thing sounds tough.
I assume you're confident that the attention you are getting is appropriate and proactive...

Absolutely. My surgeon and specialist are great, this is just kind of a touch and go thing since the hernia and subsequent damage are really rare. I will say this... if I need another surgery, I'm going to sue the pants off of CMC. Had they not kept me in their ER for 9 hours and had transferred me to the Elliot as my surgeon requested, the damage to my intestines would have been minimal.
