Well, If I am not mistaken Teach Mcneil (the Number one Stunnah in the USA) Raced for some years.. I don't know how good he was, maybe someone that knows him can attest to that..
I know Doc, I agree more or less. That comment was not direct at you directly. if I didn't agree I would never wear gear, Will I ride and hangout with someone who don't wear gear, Yes.. Will I go on some of the twistie rides with people without gear? most likely no, I've seen some accidents on rides, and I'd rather not see the outcome of one without gear.. plus I've crashed a few times without gear, it sucks but I lived..

While I see where you are coming from...gonna disagree on that statement.
There are plenty track riders that can't stunt (myself included), and there are plenty of stunters that can ride the track. Its about what ppl choose to do with their bikes...some find enjoyment on the track...others like street riding...and than others get thrills from stunts.
We can all bitch about what others should or should not do with their bikes....but this is America and its their choice. Dont get me wrong I agree that ppl should wear protective gear/clothing and shouldnt endanger others on the street. But since thats not the case, what we are left to do is attempt to educate other riders (not complain or put ppl down) and hope they made wise decisions when they ride.

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike
this is amusing to read haha.
if i see someone who either A) obviously has a bike because its "cool" and doesn't know how to ride it or B) does something retarded while riding (innocent until proven guilty)
i consider them to be of a squidly breed
i do agree that wearing gear is a good idea. but i'll admit there are times i go out w/out a jacket and sometimes even w/ out my helmet....and i dont consider myself a squid....so i dont assume ppl that doesn't wear gear are squids.
i have a friend that wheelied into the back of a car in traffic with no gear on at all. he has since graduated from squidly status.
I think Bigred's Sig line about somes it up nicely.. Ryan..

Too many Squids in New Hampshire???
Than stay the fuck out!!!
Problem solved.
i used to think people without gear were squids and reckless and blah blah blah, but hell after a season of riding i got better things to worry about then what some other rider decides. its a free country in my opinion, do what you want.. me ill wear gear, the idea of getting scrubbed down at the hospital after i eat it seems kind of shitty

y'know how nice it would be to have reasonable insurance rates for guys like us? (me esp, being a young male w/ a sportbike....you older guys are a little more lucky haha)
to insure my street bike with full coverage that included the value of the paint job its like $1800/yr.....and thats with a clean driving record. old guys with cruisers pay like $300.
i know theft is a big issue w/ sportbikes, but still...obviously the reputation/statistics affect that rate.
