    Hey all you sv650 riders

Do any of you think I could test-ride your bike? I know that's an AWFLUL lot to ask of motorcycle-type people (so I wan't be offended if nobody is willing)... I'm really thinking about getting one as my third bike, for just knd of all-purpose riding, and if I decide I like it enough, I may even sell the gixxer... but I'm getting ahead of myself. I just want to see how they ride, so I can figure out what I want to do...

oh, also, have any of you guys ridden 2up on them? How is it?

    thanks...

"Balls," I said. "Never mind the track. The track is for punks. We are Road People. We are Cafe Racers."

    Hey all you sv650 riders

The SV lacks power in stock form, but it is not slow. That won't stop you from wanting to ride it all the time. You won't feel like you have anything to prove on that bike. Plus the flickability is awesome. If you like to tinker, you can realy set up that bike to out handle anything you have ever ridden.

    Hey all you sv650 riders

My wife is 5'2" and about 100 lbs, and she was good for a couple hours on the back of the SV before she started to complain about but burn.

The SV makes more power below 9k rpm than most 600cc fours so it feels great around town etc.. Need suspension work badly if you're gonna be tossing it around.

I put 10k miles on my '02 before selling it, so if by some chance you don't get to ride it and have some questions feel free to ask.

Also, I test drove an SV at Sky Cycle before buying one. They let their used bikes out for test rides, so you could check with them.

I'm only like 5'9.5" and the bike is more or less a perfect fit for me, if you're much taller its prolly not the bike for you.. but who knows.. my buddy who's 6'3" lets me swap and ride his FZ1 and he looks like such a clown on it.. hehe.. FZ1, now that's an awesome bike btw..
