DDM Tuning maybe? That's where I got the HID for my headlight.

    Go straight to http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Cat...hting/HID-Kits

Get your kit form them directly. Decent customer service/warranty as well.

DDM carries DDM. they have their own website. I don't have them but I hear they're the bee's knees.

    Re: HID help...

I put a DDM kit on my Tuono a few years back. Love it.

Wish I had a switch or relay so that it only turns on once the motor fires up (either automatically or manually), but I haven't had the time to wire something in yet.

    Re: HID help...

Just throwing it out there: I'm looking for a set of HIDs also and shipping is rediculous. Let me know if you want to order together and split shipping or something. Thanks

I have a set of H7's sitting in my toolbox if anyone is interested. Can't remember off the top of my head whether they are 6k or 5k.

O yes please. Details? Since we were talking about DDM, are these DDMs?

Yes they are. They produce white with a little blue hue on the edge of the beam pattern. PM me for further details.

    Re: HID help...

FWIW my DDM's are 6k and a little too blue for me. If I were to do it again, I'd go with a 5k.

    Re: HID help...

Are you guys using HIDs for both Hi and Low beam? If so, does the warm up time when you switch to high beam bother you?

Depends on how many watts. 55w is whiter than 35w at the same temp.

    Re: HID help...

I have read that some motorcycle wiring harnesses might not be able to handle the current a 55W HID draws.

Would there be any issues with heat from the 55's? Thinking for the Speed Triple

I've been thinking about doing this. Are you guys using projector housings or the halogen?

    Re: HID help...

I used a projector housing donor headlight from a GSXR 600, but my bike is a franken naked bike. Installing HID's in halogen housings is disrespectful of oncoming traffic if not downright dangerous. The last thing you want to do is blind oncoming traffic.

    I would not recommend it.

I would use a projector housing if I go that route. I've been blinded myself.
