    I love that thing. I saw it in a mag a couple months ago in a shift ad and fell in love with it then. I just think its a beautiful bike and has a very good profile.

    As KB said, he helped me pull it out of the woods on the back-side of 17 on our group ride yesterday.

    I cleaned it up this morning and the bike is almost as good as new.

    Next week, (When I get back from Salt Lake City) I'll have to put in a new bulb and headlamp cover and the bike will be like new again.

    These rides are smooth, fast, very comfortable on a 300+ mile day, and built like a tank on two wheels...

    I'm assuming that since you are responding to this you are OK. Which is a good thing, hows the bike?

    Is there a story here that we can learn from or just a run of the mill, too hot into a corner low side into the woods. Or was it just an off road excursion, in which case perhaps the 1200gs model would have suited you better



    Please tell me that this wasn't the same ride that Half squid was on.


    If it was, than he has some serious explaining to do.

    He was the next bike behind me when I had my little get off back in 99. I don't want to say he is un lucky but just ask him how many crashes have happened on rides he has been on and how many of those he has witnessed first hand.

    Now if only he could use the power to win the lottery instead.

    I lost track a couple years ago but last count that I can remember was in the 30 ies. As in more than thirty people have crashed in the company of mike in a 6 or so year span. I'm sure its more now that a few more years have gone by with out me counting.

    But he can tell us better what the count is up to.

    I think the count is now up to 45 or so? Three of these rides had 2 or more bikes down at once. Where is Clayton? How many went down that day on 8A wasn't it 4 in the same corner, or was it 5?? Another crash back pre-NESR there was a three bike pile up on the lower section of rt100 in VT, then last years horible VT head on colition taking two bikes down in our group and one jackass from another group..

    Oh I want the K1200R too!
    I decided I am either getting this or a Warrior in addition to my RC. Just not sure when I will pull the trigger?
